DESCRIPTION:\n\nThis session will highlight the various funding avenues and
  options available for socially engaged practitioners\, including trusts\,

 ing is the fourth workshop in a series of six practical artist profession
 al development sessions for artists working within socially engaged practi
 ce\, hosted by Heart of Glass in collaboration with Mark Devereux Projects
 . The sessions will take place in St Helens between November 2018 and Apri

 here.\n\nThis session\, Funds and fundraising\, will highlight the vario
 us funding avenues and options available for socially engaged practitioner
 s\, including trusts\, foundations\, individual giving and sponsorship. Pa
 rticipants will also undertake a practical\, in-depth workshop on making a
 n application to Arts Council England National Lottery Projects Grants\, h
 elping breakdown each question and what is required.\n\n 	Each workshop wi
 ll be tailored to the participating artists’ key questions and concerns\
 ; providing information\, advice and guidance alongside open discussions a
 nd peer-to-peer sharing.\n 	Lunch and refreshments will be provided. Works
 hop lunches will be hosted by a different member of the Heart of Glass sta
 ff/associate artist team to provide informal networking opportunities and 
 access to staff expertise where relevant.\n 	Whilst primarily aimed at art
 ists working within socially engaged practice\, artists working within oth
 er mediums are also welcome.\n 	Sessions can be booked individually or as 
 a whole programme at a discounted rate.\n\nLocation\nHeart of Glass\, Old

 – 4pm\n\nCosts\nIndividual sessions: £25 per session (£10 concession f
 or students\, senior citizens &amp\; St Helens based artists) All 6 sessio
 ns: £135 (£54 conc.)\n\nHeart of Glass is proud to be based in St Helens
  and is keen to support the development of artists living and working in t
 he St Helens Borough. All artists with a St Helens postcode are eligible f

 \n\nWe are now delighted to offer a limited number of travel bursaries (u
 p to £50 per individual\, per session) to support attendance. Bursaries m
 ay be used to contribute towards the cost of travel and/or childcare costs
 . All artists attending (including those who have already booked tickets) 
 are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to those who would otherwise
  be unable to attend. Those wishing to apply for a travel bursary should s
