SUMMARY:FACT: Healing Offering: ahma’s sweep
DESCRIPTION:\n\nJoin Feixia Yu and Hannah Yu-Pearson\, a mother-daughter du
o continuing a lineage of Chinese movement\, healing and medicine practice
\, as they host a two-part healing offering in response to Rae-Yen Song's
 current exhibition\, •~TUA~• 大眼 •~MAK~•. \n\n\n\n\n\nPart 1:
Movement\nFeixia will lead a gentle Qigong practice\, flowing through the
seasonal Daoyin movements of simple turning\, opening\, coiling and settli
ng. Explore breath\, water\, change\, and the quiet continuities between b
odies and the living world.\n\nPart 2: Medicine\nHannah is the host and cr
eator behind Hui 慧 - a practice of nourishment and gathering as medicine
. She will share a Chinese tea meditation and seasonal food ritual that wi
ll ground us in the elements and seasons that inform Traditional Chinese M
edicine.\n\nThe Chinese character of Hui 慧 is the combination of hands\,
a broom and a heart\, symbolising the act of cleansing your heart anew ea
ch day.\n\nMarking the shift into Autumn and guided by 'ahma’s sweep' -
one of the exhibition’s sculptural tools - this offering will respond to
•~TUA~• 大眼 •~MAK~•\, and explore the metaphorical sweeping\,
stretching and nourishing we can do collectively to deepen our connection
to the Dao.\n\nRead more about •~TUA~• 大眼 •~MAK~• here →\n\n
