SUMMARY:HeadSpace at EggSpace: HeadSpace: Photography by David Hynes
DESCRIPTION:Photography by David Hynes\n\nPlease come and join us this Thur
sday 18th August for the private view from 7-8:30pm. You can meet the arti
st and have a complimentary glass of wine or juice whilst you peruse the a
rtworks on display.\n\nHere's what the artist has to say about his work an
d inspiration...\n\nI originally began taking photographs in my latter yea
rs at school.\n\nI went onto study at Wigan College of Technology and for
a further 2 years at Plymouth College of Art and Design (this included Fil
m / Video studies). I was lucky to work with Kevin Cummins and Anton Corbi
n at this time.\n\nI have since worked teaching and as a technician at Joh
n Moores University. I have also worked as a 'volunteer' in various organi
sations.\n\nI have been a member of different Photographic Societies and w
ould whole-heartedly recommend joining one as they have been a great resou
rce and socially rewarding. I am currently a member of the 'Liverpool Chin
atown Photographic Society' (LCPS).\n\nThe work exhibited hopefully reflec
ts my varied and wide-ranging photographic interests. I'm often asked "wha
t do I photograph?". No easy answer but 'beauty is in the eye of the behol
der' and maybe more than any other mantra\, it's this I have in mind when
I 'behold' my camera. To quote my Dad's one and only karaoke effort\, "Wha
t a Wonderful World".\n\nI appreciate good design (in all it's shapes and
imaginings).\n\nThe 'Anonymous' project was a good reason for friends and
myself to get together on the busiest day of the gambling year\, 'Grand Na
tional' day.\n\nThe photograph to accompanying this 'write-up' was taken i
n 1981. It shows myself and my team-mates aged 15 years when we played in
a final played at Anfield (I'm back right). Mr Bill Shankly was guest-of-h
onour. It is probably the last ever photograph of 'Shanks'.\n\nTreasure yo
ur (photographic) memories.\n\nDavid Hynes\n\nThe exhibition runs until 18
th September\nFor any enquiries about the artwork on display please email
 us at headspace@eggspace.org
