Halewood Park: Following the Roots: Forest Art Club
Time(s): 11:00 - 12:30
Get creative in the forest! Join artist Frances Disley to explore a range of artistic processes, taking inspiration from Halewood Park.
These sessions for adults will include drawing, painting, photography and sculpture, with a focus on a different part of the woodland each week. Together we will also explore ways to make natural art materials from the trees and plants in the forest, allowing us to get to know them a little better.
If you live or work in Halewood, these workshops are especially for you. Frances is gathering stories about the local area as part of this project, which will inspire a semi-permanent artwork in Halewood Park.
Workshops will take place from 11.00am – 12.30pm every Friday from 10th February until 10th March, at Halewood Park Environment Centre, Okell Drive, Liverpool L26 7XB.
Drop in, or book your place via Eventbrite.
These sessions are free, with no prior experience required. Whether you’re a keen creative or fancy trying something new, please come along! We will meet at Halewood Park Environment Centre and venture out into the forest to get creative. Hot drinks will be provided at the end of each session. Wrap up warm and dry as we never know what the weather will be like. These workshops will be held outdoors, weather depending.
