SUMMARY:FACT: Gibson/Martelli: Nino
DESCRIPTION:\n\nnino is an interactive\, game-like experience. Move throug
h different worlds collecting avatars —each with its own unique dance.\n
\n\n\nDrop-in — FREE\nThe game is playable in our new space dedicated to
showcasing artist-made games\, located on the ground floor near the café
.\n\nOpen seven days a week: Monday 11:00–17:00 and Tuesday to Sunday 11
:00–18:00.\n\n\n\nThe project explores how identities shift in digital s
paces\, alongside ideas of connection and the more-than-human. Inspired by
scientist James Lovelock's Novacene concept\, it imagines a future wher
e AI (artificial intelligence) shapes how we live on Earth. Rather than fe
aring AI\, he imagines how it could help us create\, collaborate\, and con
nect with nature in new ways. Each world features dual soundtracks\, creat
ed by musicians Mechanoid Muse and Casually Here\, with a voiceover descri
 bing a speculative\, science-fictional novacene.\n\nOriginally created as
a 45-minute live performance with five dancers at Trafó in Budapest\, thi
s version was created using motion capture and gaming tools to be easily s
hown\, reducing the environmental impact of touring to other places. nino
offers a playful experience that blurs the boundaries between dance\, pe
rformance and video games.\n\n\n\n\n\n\nCreators: Ruth Gibson\, Bruno Mart
