SUMMARY:Warrington Museum & Art Gallery: From the Sea View
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJoin us for the inaugural solo exhibition of mathematicia
n-turned-artist\, Angela Gould. From the Sea View is a collection of hand-
sewn cross-stitch tapestries. The centrepiece of the exhibition is a pains
taking\, five-year recreation of the Cornish coast\, stitched entirely fro
m memory and mainly completed during the isolation of the Covid-19 pandemi
c.\n\nThe resulting seascape is more than just a view\; it is a tapestry o
 f human experience: love\, loss\, hope and connection\, and a testament to
the healing power of memory and creativity.\n\nThis incredible work gaine
d national recognition when it was selected for the prestigious Royal Acad
emy Summer Exhibition 2024. Also on show in the exhibition are collection
of unseen cross-stitch tapestries continuing Angela’s exploration of mem
ory\, emotion\, and the surprising depth of this medium.\n\n\n\nDATES\nSat
