SUMMARY:FACT: FACT: Wicked Women: Reimagining Gender and Fairytale
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\n\nPart of the Spring 2019 season\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nWicke
 d Women explores the gender narratives that are shaped through fairytale 
 and mythology\, and the female archetypes that are woven into our historie
 s and contemporary society. This symposium will ask how we can collectivel
 y re-imagine and re-tell women’s stories\, and how they affect our prese
 nt and future narrative.\n\nThe symposium will be followed by a screening 
 of two of Marianna Simnett’s films not included in the current exhibitio
 n: Worst Gift (2017) and The Needle and the Larynx (2016)\, which cont
 inue the artist’s exploration of infection\, gender\, perversion\, desir
