SUMMARY:FACT: FACT: Queer East presents: Love Bound + Q&A [18]
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nQueer East presents: Love Bound + Q&amp\;A [18]\n\n\nRunt
 ime: 80 mins\n\nGenre: Documentary\n\n\n\n\nDirected by Shanshan Chen\, L
ove Bound is a compelling documentary about love\, resilience\, and the o
ngoing struggle for a better world.\n\nLGBTQ+ activist Qiuyan Chen became
an unexpected celebrity due to her courageous legal battle against homopho
bic university textbooks in the 2010s. However\, this newfound fame came a
t a price: she was outed by her tutor\, subjected to conversion therapy by
her parents\, and monitored by the Chinese government. To escape these pr
essures\, Qiuyan left for the UK where she met her partner Bling\, but her
struggles were far from over. Interweaving reflections on Qiuyan’s sexu
ality and relationships\, Shanshan Chen’s documentary examines this insp
iring activist’s commitment to building a close-knit community designed
to support queer East Asian people in the UK\, a solo endeavour that evolv
es into a movement with a growing support base.\n\nThe film is followed by
