 or a three hour crash course in the browser-based software Hydra — an 
 open-source programme that allows users to code their own visuals and crea
 te audio-reactive experiences.\n\nThis workshop does not require any prior
  knowledge in Hydra or coding\, and is designed by Sonia to be accessible 
 to anyone of any discipline. Get ready to play and create\, whilst expandi
 ng your artistic practice.\n\nA laptop with internet access and Google Chr
 ome is required. Headphones are desirable. If you'd like to request the us

 n\n\n\n\n\nABOUT SONIA KILLMANN\n\nSonia Killmann is a saxophone player\, 
 electronic musician\, and audiovisual artist whose practice is deeply infl
 uenced by interdisciplinary work and collaborative processes. Sonia works 
 primarily as an electronic and multi-media composer and strives to create 
 immersive experiences for audiences. Her work is based on improvisational 
 processes from which Sonia creates live audiovisual shows\, sound art and 
 scores.\n\nIn January 2022 Sonia taught a 5 week course in Hydra and elect
 ronic music making in Yekaterinburg on a British council residency in Russ
 ia. Since then\, the composer has worked in many cities across Europe. In 
 2024 they also spent two weeks at the Electronic Music Studios (EMS) in St
 ockholm\, and completed a residency in Cove Park with Laura Mannelli. Soni
 a is also going on a tour of Scotland with Vanishing Point and Imogen Stir
 ling to present Love The Sinner as the musician on stage. Sonia is curre
 ntly working as an embedded artist with the Glasgow-based Cryptic\, the i
 nternationally renowned home of audiovisual art and experimentation.\n\n\n
 \n\n\n\nABOUT STUDIO/LAB\n\nStudio/Lab is a space for creative experiment
 ation that nurtures a vibrant community of artists\, researchers and techn
 ologists. Located on the top floor\, Studio/Lab is dedicated to supporting
  your practice\, creating new work\, and providing opportunities to presen
 t and test your ideas.\n\nWith Studio/Lab membership\, enjoy access to a l
 arge city-centre workspace including video and sound editing studios\, new
 -generation technology\, entry-level immersive kit\, and digital productio
