SUMMARY:Editions Ltd: Editions Ltd: Paul Romano - What do you see here?...
DESCRIPTION:Paul Romano - What do you see here?...\n\n\nPrivate View 5.30
 -8pm Thursday 27th September - until 27th October\n\nWe are very pleased
to be showing new works from one of our favourite artists. His work is al
ways fresh and shows his continued excitment in the imageryof his environm
ent\, contemporary pop culture and the influence of his favourite artists.
\n\nPaul has always cited grafitti as an influence and his work has always
featured found ephemera and inspiration from the walls of the city. These
pieces are much closer to those infuences and show a vibrancy and immedia
cy found in those images. His paintings have an emotional immediacy that i
s completely engaging and yet continues to reward further analysis. His us
e of colour\, texture and composition is assured and considered.\n\nHis pa
inting is never completely abstract and it's often easy to see symbols and
glimpses of architectural features. He also admits the influence of living
in a maritime city with its images of ships and an industrial heritage.\n
\nPaul seldom exhibits outside the North West but has works in private col
lections in London\, New York and the Far East. He has quietly developed a
loyal following in his hometown of Liverpool and is becoming increasingly
admired by collectors and his peers.
