DESCRIPTION:\nEchoes of the Floating World\n\nFree\n&nbsp\;\n\n\nThe Willia
 mson possesses a small but notable collection of woodblock prints in the J
 apanese Ukiyo-e style.\n\nThese were made by some of the most important 
 names in the period\, from Hiroshige to Hokusai.\n\nTheir motifs of flat p
 erspectives\, high vantage points\, and bold colour distinctions\, were a 
 radical influence across European art\, including by artists from Wirral.\
 n\nAs such\, this exhibition will show local artworks alongside Ukiyo-e pr
 ints\, communicating how Wirral artists have been influenced by\, and in d
 ialogue with\, artists from across the world.\n\n\n
