No previous experience is required.\n\nCatherine will show you how to approach mark-making to create depth\, texture and tone along with best p ractice for printing. You will learn mono-printing techniques as a backgro und on which to print as an alternative to plain white. There will be demo nstrations\, and an easy one colour 'trial' exercise before students embar k on a larger scale multicolour print series.\n\nYou will have the choice to print onto A4 professional print quality paper\, greetings cards and co tton fabric. This workshop is suitable for ages 16 and upwards due to shar p cutting tools.\n\nTutor: Catherine Carmyllie\n\nCatherine Carmyllie is a Liverpool based Artist currently working across painting and textile art . She completed a Textile Arts degree at Huddersfield University before sp ending 6 months at The Arts and Crafts Academy of Kuopio\, Finland where s he had the opportunity to learn ancient Scandinavian skills such as bookbi nding\, weaving\, felt-making amongst others.
