SUMMARY:A Small View: Donal Moloney: New Works On Paper
DESCRIPTION:Donal Moloney: New Works On Paper\n\n25th August – 1st Octobe
 r 2016 | Preview Thursday 25th August 2016 5-8pm\n\nDonal Moloney makes in
tricate paintings that contain fragments of images from a wide variety of
sources (drawings\, sculptures\, digital collages\, etc). Moloney transf
orms images from these sources through a protracted and slow process of p
ainting\, often taking more than a year to complete each piece. In doing s
o\, he imbues these initial ‘sketches’ with something jewel-like and
precious. This ‘kaleidoscope’ of glistening surfaces becomes a vehicl
e for his interest in mixing fantastical imagery and ambiguous narratives
