 actitioners interested in making socially engaged art and engaging in crea
 tive projects with boys and young men using an art and youth work approach

 n Dr Fiona Whelan (Artist and Educator)\, Dannielle McKenna (Rialto Yo
 uth Project) and Dr Rob Grant (Research Scholar and Educator) will explo
 re the practice and significance of listening as a conscious and purposefu
 l act. Throughout the day you will have an opportunity to explore and enga
 ge with the act of listening\, and learn from creative\, dialogical and yo
 uth work methodologies centred on listening\, while having the opportunity
  to reflect with peers.\nThe day will also include group discussion\, conn
 ection\, and opportunities for reflection more broadly on creative process
 es and projects\, youth engagement processes\, and youth community develop
 ment working practices relevant to the times we live in.\nWe will also be 
 joined by Dr. Ciaran Smyth as our Listener-in-Residence\, who will captu
 re and document their own listening and reflections throughout the day.\nL

 paces available\, and we are prioritising artists who work with young peop
 le (especially boys and young men) from across the Liverpool City Region\,
  youth workers and those who work with young people\, as well as creative 
 practitioners and those with an interest in developing creative projects w
 ith young people and/or an interest in learning more about the practice of
  listening. This includes but is not limited to artists\, youth workers\, 
 play workers\, teachers and producers.\n\nWe’re particularly keen to sup
 port people with an interest in collaborative\, reflective and experimenta
 l practice in arts and youth work.\n\nAs space is limited\, if you book a 
 ticket and are no longer able to attend\, please let us know and request a
  refund so we can offer the space to those on our waitlist.\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\
 n\nBursary\nWe are offering a limited number of £250 bursaries for artist
 s\, freelancers\, independent producers\, community practitioners and cura
 tors to support attendance of these sessions. Bursaries may be used to con
 tribute towards the cost of travel\, accommodation\, subsistence\, childca
 re and/or access costs.\n\nAll artists\, freelancers\, independent produce
 rs and curators are eligible to apply. Priority will be given to those who
  would otherwise be unable to attend. Those wishing to apply for a bursary
