SUMMARY:Cornerstone: Cornerstone: Enzo Marra and Tom Palin
DESCRIPTION:Enzo Marra and Tom Palin exhibit together for first time\n\n24t
 h October-24th November\, Cornerstone Gallery\, Liverpool Hope Univers
 ity Creative Campus\, Shaw Street\, Shaw Street\, L6 1HP\n\nThe Cornersto
ne Gallery will pair the work of Enzo Marra and Tom Palin together for the
first time.\n\nBoth artists clearly enjoy the materiality of paint which
is at times\, rooted within figuration yet not overtly representational. M
arra’s work often looks toward the artworld and the art historical for k
ey references whilst Palin’s work\n\ncontains a gradual layering of pain
t which often eschews the figure and narrative in favour of a ‘concern f
or the fundamental constituents of the painted object: surface\, vehicle\,
support\, and time’.\n\nMarra is currently exhibiting as part of John M
oores Painting Prize\, Liverpool and studied MA Painting at University of
Brighton.\n\nTom Palin exhibited two works at London’s Royal Academy Sum
mer Exhibition\, 2016 and is currently studying for a PhD at The Royal Col
lege of Art\, London. Tom also teaches Fine Art at Leeds College of Art.\n
\nThe exhibition runs from 24th October-24th November. The Private View is
  on 27th October 6-9pm.
