 nInternationally exhibited Liverpool based artist Jason Jones\, former G
 allery Manager of Liverpool Hope University's Cornerstone Gallery\, has re
 turned to his practice after an eight year break.\n\nThe works demonstrat
 e Jason's trademark gestural and descriptive mark making skills as well 
 as his documented innate use of colour.\n\nThe approach of these new paint
 ings draws upon the inspiration and compositional studies of the epic bibl
 ical paintings by John Martin\, atmospheric sci-fi film noir cinematograp
 hy and emotional responses to musical compositions.\n\nPrivate View: 6th 
 December\nFor one night only the Corke Gallery is hosting a selection of J
 ason's new works\, inspired by the process of and response within the ac
 t of applying paint - this is a show of paintings about painting.\n\nJaso
 n will be attending the event from 6pm - 8pm so please feel free to invite
  friends or colleagues and come along and enjoy a festive complimentary d
 rink\, supplied by Cultural Wine\, at the last Corke Gallery event of 2
 018.
