SUMMARY:Edge Hill Jobcentre Plus: Walking Tour: SPOTtimespotTIME
DESCRIPTION:\n\nCity of Liverpool SPOTtimespotTIME google map direction\n\
nWalkabout: 6th August 2016 SPOTtimespotTIME\nBegins at Job Centre on High
gate Street\, Edge Hill Jobcentre Plus\, Kinglake House\, Shenstone Stree
t\, Liverpool L7 3PF\n\n\n\nJoin artist Elaine Robinson as she continues
her UK walking tour and collective artwork. 10am–5pm\n\nElaine is also
 talking at Cass Art\, Liverpool\, at 6pm on Thursday 4th August 2016\n\nP
redominantly as an artist I love breaking down social barriers and asking
public opinion and capturing the unseen social comment. Taking art to the
streets and asking people to be part of an artwork gives the opportunity t
o express an opinion.\n\n\nThe work asks us to consider our own changing i
dentity. How do we react when we are asked to share our fingerprint? In a
n in increasing digital age is our fingerprint something we should be fear
ful to handover freely or should we embrace our increased cultural share t
o incorporate aspects of our physical identity? SPOTtimespotTIME will cap
ture all these questions\, with a single moment in time. What will be the
impact be on us all and our connection to each other? The emerging nationw
ide collective art work comments on the ever wondrous evolutionary proc
ess. The work when finally exhibited will have seven panels of fingerprint
s held in clear resin from cities initially all around the UK.\n\n\n\n\nTh
is piece attempts to provide some clarity on this question by involving U
niversity Forensic Departments and the general public to gather and docume
 nt opinion and fingerprints.\n\n
