SUMMARY:: Chester Lane Library: Aidan Moesby - I Was Naked\, Smelling Of Ra
 in
DESCRIPTION:I Was Naked\, Smelling Of Rain is a thoughtful\, provocative\,
fun theatre show which explores the relationship between inner and outer w
eather - in a world where climate change and mental health are two of the
biggest crises we face.\n\nBook here\n\nWe are at a critical point of the
climate change and mental health crises. We are the most connected ‘on d
emand’ generation yet seem to have lost touch with who we are and where
we fit in the world. We mediate our life through technology and screens. A
re we ever truly where we are and present?\n\nI was naked\, smelling of ra
in explores the impact of the external physical and social weather on our
internal psycho-emotional weather. Aidan Moesby draws from the cultural ca
non of weather from art\, literature and film\; social contexts and constr
ucts\; and the medical approaches to wellbeing. These influences will info
rm the production of a series of responsive artworks that create the condi
tions for a perfect storm for personal\, social and cultural conversations
around technology\, wellbeing and weather. Regardless of digital (dis)con
nectedness and proximity\, we are all physically connected by the weather.

nant and personal reflection\, giving us permission and space to think abo
ut our own mental health.’ – Disability Arts Online\n\n‘A spiralling
