DESCRIPTION:Carmel College is hosting a Creative careers event on Saturday 
 26th January 2019 between 11 - 2pm. Young people from across the North Wes
 t region can come and meet creative professionals\, take part in workshops
  and find out about employment opportunities in the creative sector. There
  will be opportunities to listen to Lisa Eldridge. Originally from Liverpo
 ol\, Lisa is one of the most experienced and respected makeup artists on t
 he international fashion and beauty circuits.The list of celebrities Lisa 
 has made up reads like a who’s who of the world’s most glamorous stars
 \, including Kate Winslet\, Keira Knightley\, Lily Collins\, Kate Moss\, R
 osie Huntington-Whiteley and Emma Watson.\n\nOther Guests include\, Robin 
 Derrick one of the fashion and advertising industries most respected Creat
 ive Directors. Andrew Critchley\, Managing Director of Red Productions\, K
 eith De Winter a well-known Creature Perfomer who has appeared in two Star
  Wars films. Jamie Stockley\, from St Helens is a BAFTA award winning Art 
 Director from the Clangers. Liam Keating is not only the world leading exp
 ert on Google sketch-up but is now product Designer at Volvo Group Sweden.
 \n\nWe have people from fashion\, including Vogue and Net a Porter alongsi
 de Industry professionals from the world of design. There will be Architec
 ts and Games designers\, and those working in TV production and Sport Prom
 otion\, including Award Winning Photographers and Children’s book Illust
 rators.\n\nThis is a unique and one off event that hopes to redress the re
 duction of time spent on creative subjects in Schools. It is also response
  to The Liverpool City Region Review which highlighted the Northwest as an
  area of growth for the Creative and Digital sectors.
