 ome\n\nThe British Press Photographers’ Association present their annual
  exhibition\, ‘Assignments 2024 – The BPPA Exhibition’\, in Port Sun
 light. It is the first time the exhibition has been presented in Merseysid
 e and follows a successful showcase in London’s Southbank.\n\nThe free e
 xhibition is a showcase of the best 100 photographs from members of The BP
 PA\, celebrating the best of press photography. Over the summer\, a changi
 ng display of these photographs will take over Bridge Cottage\, one of Por
 t Sunlight’s most distinctive Arts and Crafts-style houses.\n\nCurated b
 y five leading industry figures\, this year’s exhibition covers stories 
 from March 2023 through to the spring of 2024 and will feature everything 
 from sports and entertainment through to politics and protest with royals\
 , celebrities\, and global events as seen through the eyes of the associat
 ion’s photographers.\n\nFounded in the mid-1980s\, The BPPA has sought t
 o promote and inspire the highest ethical\, technical\, and creative stand
 ards from within the industry\, and once again is set to deliver an exhibi
 tion of photographs from the cutting edge of journalism.\n\nThanks to the 
 support of Canon UK\, Assignments 2024 is FREE to attend\, with donations 
 to Port Sunlight Village Trust welcome. It is open from Saturday 8th June
  until Sunday 1st September\, Wednesday–Sunday\, 10am–4pm (closed 12-
 1pm) at Bridge Cottage\, Park Road\, Port Sunlight CH62 4UP.\n\nThis year
 ’s curators were photojournalist David Burnett\, Reuters UK and Ireland 
 Chief Photographer Suzanne Plunkett\, photojournalist Steve Back\, Press A
 ssociation photographer Jane Barlow\, and Getty Images sports photographer
