SUMMARY:Hamilton Vault Studios: Brendan Lyons: Reel to Real
DESCRIPTION:Brendan Lyons: Reel to Real\nOpens Friday 23rd Oct: 6pm - 8pm\n
 Show runs: 24th October - 1st November\, 11am - 5pm (*gallery closed monda
ys)\nfree entry\n\n\n\nReel to Real is a solo exhibition by Liverpool-bas
ed artist Brendan Lyons\, exploring perception\, representation and the po
ssibilities of paint.\n\nIn this new exhibition at Hamilton Vault Studios\
, Brendan includes readymade elements such as aluminium tape reels and toi
let paper dispensers\, combining them with paint to explore new themes in
his practice. The apparent sections of audio tape and paper rolls consist
of paint alone. They flow from the walls across the gallery floor. The un
iformly concrete surfaces of the walls and floors of this former bank vaul
t provide a perfect backdrop for the paintings.\n\n
