SUMMARY:Cass Art: Book Art Workshop: Dragon Scale Books
DESCRIPTION:\n\n\nJoin Frances Day and learn how to make Dragon Scale books
\, based on the ancient Chinese scroll form\n\n\n\n\n\n\nYou will learn to
make a simplified modern version of an ancient Chinese scroll form called
a dragon-scale. By creating sequential pages you can tell a simple story
by laying the pages alternately back and forth. Materials and pre-cut temp
lates will be provided for you to make a ready designed book but you are w
elcome to experiment with modifying the format or create your own images.\
n\nFrances Day has been making artists’ books for over a decade and her
work is held in many collections and museum in several countries. Much of
her work is focused on structure that complements content\, and the dragon
-scale book is a recurring theme in her work.\n\n\n
