SUMMARY:Bluecoat: Bluecoat: The Art of Screenprinting
DESCRIPTION:The Art of Screenprinting - 4 week complete course\n\n\n\nThis 
 course will run Thursday evenings at 5:30pm - 8:00pm for 4 consecutive wee
 ks (27th July/3rd August/10th August/17th August)\n\nThe Art of Screenprin
 ting is a comprehensive course suitable for beginners and intermediate pri
 nters alike. On completion you will be a knowledgeable\, confident screenp
 rinter and able to hire our printmaking facilities to use.\n\nThe course s
 chedule is as follows:\n\nWeek 1 (27th July 5:30 - 8:00pm) You will learn
  the fundamentals of screenprinting and create experimental prints using h
 and cut paper stencils and monoprint.\n\nWeek 2 (3rd August 5:30 - 8:00pm)
  You will learn how to clean a screen and prepare it for printing\, as we
 ll as coating your screen in UV sensitive emulsion and exposing it to crea
 te a permanent stencil for printing. You will then use your exposed screen
  to create a set of prints.\n\nWeek 3 (10th August 5:30 - 8:00pm) This we
 ek will teach you all about registration and how to use multiple screens t
 o create multi-layered prints.\n\nWeek 4 (17th August 5:30 - 8:00pm) Your
  final week will teach you how to print onto fabric\, utilising all you've
  learnt to understand the subtle changes needed in the screenprinting proc
 ess to create great fabric prints.\n\nAll materials you will use are inclu
 ded in the cost of the course\, but you are welcome to bring along your ow
 n if you choose. Our studios are environmentally friendly where possible a
 nd use greener methods of screen printing\, such as water-based acrylic in
 ks. Completing this course will act as an Induction. After becoming a Blue
 coat Artist Member you will be able to book into our Screen Printing Studi
