SUMMARY:Bluecoat: Picturing Freedom: Photograph with Freedom Objects
DESCRIPTION:Join photographers Yaqeen Amir\, Anoosh Ariamehr and Open E
ye Gallery to have a free portrait taken with an object or picture which\
, for you\, represents freedom.\nFamilies and children are invited to brin
g an object\, drawing\, or photo that feels connected to the idea of freed
 om\; maybe something from home\, a favourite toy\, a family keepsake\, or
even just a symbol of something you dream about. Together with Anoosh\, th
ese personal items will become part of your portrait through light\, proje
ction\, or collage\, showing that freedom can live in our everyday lives a
s well as our memories and hopes.\nWhat does freedom mean to you- Is it ab
out reflecting on memories of peace\, escaping to your local green space o
r being able to fly like a bird?\nYou are more than welcome to have a port
rait alongside your object\, or we can just photograph the object if you w
ould like to remain anonymous. A copy of the image will be available to ta
ke home on the day.\nA selection of images from the workshop will be displ
ayed as part of a national photography exhibition celebrating the wider O
ur Freedom Then and Now programme.\nThe photography activity will start o
n the hour at:\n1-2pm\n2-3pm\n3-4pm\nWe will also have a drop in photo-col
lage activity between 1-4pm where you can create intimate photo-collage bo
oklets that reflect your personal ideas of freedom\, taking inspiration fr
om the poem Freedom Road by Simon Armitage\, which you can view here.\
 nFree entry.\nBook now: https://www.thebluecoat.org.uk/whatson/photography
