We will go over the proper way of ho lding a brush pen and explore the associated arm movements. Then it will b e your turn to do a series of exercises on basic strokes\, before moving o nto lowercase letters.\n\nThe tutor will demonstrate some of the more diff icult lowercase letters and the common mistakes\, before students practise each letter on the worksheets. We will then look at letter formation and practise writing common letter combos\, before moving onto uppercase lette rs.\n\nThere will be a fun exercise of trying out a collection of various brush pens\, and students will learn how to choose their supplies accordin g to the type of artwork they want to produce. The tutor will introduce ba sic variations we can make to different groups of letters\, and what lette ring styles you can add to the composition of a sentence to make it more i nteresting.\n\nTo finalise the day\, you will come up with words\, phrases or sentences to write in your newly found calligraphy style. We will crea te a beautiful watercolour background and touch on watercolour lettering a fter a demonstration.
