Over the course of 3 weeks\, you will develop your awareness of painting using acry lic as a unique means of visual communication.\n\nEach session will give y ou the opportunity to use your imagination and develop those inventive pro cesses alongside traditional and contemporary techniques. You will make ar t as an artist does and develop your project from its conceptual beginning to its physical end. The course will help you develop a deeper understand ing of art and how as practitioners we think and realise work.\n\n \;\ n\nDay 1: Introduction\n\n Basics of acrylic paint\, properties\, and sol vents\n Properties of colour: value\, saturation\, and hue\n Colour theo ry: primary\, secondary\, and the rest\; colour mixing\n Making value and saturation charts\n Mixing secondary colours as well as some random targ et colours\n\n \;\n\nDay 2: Drawing and painting from a picture\n\n I ntroduction to gridding method to draw and paint from a printed and digita l pictures\n Creating painting from one printed and one digital photo usi ng a grid.\n\n \;\n\nDay 3: Drawing and painting from life\n\n With t he techniques learnt over the previous 2 days\, you will apply your learni ng to execute a drawing and painting from life.\n\n \;\n\nTutor: Laleh Kamalian\n\nLaleh Kamalian is a self-taught artist who found art at a lat e stage of her life after a long career in medicine and science. Her favou rite subject is human portrait\, where she aims to show the characteristic s and emotions of the portrayed to the best of her ability. Neares t train station- Liverpool Central.\n\nCost\n\n£135\n\nIt is possible to split this cost into two payments\, please call 0345 017 6660 for more det ails.\n\nMaterials\n\n \;\n\nAcrylic paint: A set\, or individual tube s\, that contain at least titanium white\, red\, yellow\, blue\, and black .\n\nBrushes: Synthetic brushes suitable for acrylic paint\, at least in t hree sizes\, small\, medium\, and large (not wider than 2 cm). If you are getting a set\, they normally come in different shapes.
