DESCRIPTION:Jessica Geach (Ruby Cubes) GNCCF 2018 selection / Saturday 1st 
 June 2019 - Sunday 30th June 2019\n\nJessica Geach (also known as Ruby Cub
 es)\, was selected for this spotlight exhibition from a range of makers wh
 o exhibited at Great Northern Contemporary Craft Fair 2018. Her work was s
 elected by the judging panel due to its originality and Jessica’s skill 
 in making.\n\nHeld Together By Thread…\n\nAll of the products you’ll f
 ind on Ruby Cubes are handmade by myself. I take inspiration from the Worl
 d around me &amp\; translate this into my work. My collections are a mood 
 board of things that inspire me\, I hope that in turn\, the things I sell 
 will inspire &amp\; project creativity onto my customers.\n\nI currently h
 ave two main collections:\n\nFunction &amp\; Form homewares – this is my
  main collection of goods made for the home &amp\; focuses on affordable d
 esign that everybody can love &amp\; use. These are the pieces that I take
  to events regularly and are always available in the shop. I am constantly
  adding to the colours &amp\; shapes of this collection so do check back r
 egularly to see what’s new.\n\nArt &amp\; Sculpture – this is the expe
 rimental section. I am constantly pushing myself as a designer &amp\; arti
 st. This collection is made up of pieces that I have made whilst exploring
  the boundaries of what is possible with the rope. I am currently creating
  a series of larger baskets that explore a more organic &amp\; freeform sh
 ape. If you are interested in learning more about this collection or even

 \nA note about materials….\n\nI love our planet\, so I strive to use nat
 ural materials that will not do long lasting damage. I use unbleached rope
  which is significantly better for the farmers and the environment than bl
 eached varieties. I also work with a new fabric called Piñatex® which is
  100% sustainable and cruelty free. The textile paints I work with are als
 o an eco variety that are non toxic and sourced from Cornwall. I work to m
 y own minimum waste policy – one day I hope to be zero waste so I always
  have this in mind when making business decisions.\n\n&nbsp\;
