 l 2018\, 5.30pm – 7.30pm\n\nEuropean Connections will showcase some of 
 Europe’s leading jewellery designers\, based in the UK and abroad. In Li
 verpool’s 10 Year anniversary as a Capital of Culture\, this exhibition 
 strives to celebrate and strengthen our ties with Europe in these uncertai
 n times.\n\nInternationally renowned jeweller and the creative force behin
 d Amsterdam's famous Galerie Ra\, Paul Derrez will be exhibiting his viv
 idly coloured acrylic and silver jewellery which encapsulate his social co
 mmentary.\n\nThe work of internationally acclaimed jewellers Ute Decker\,
  from Germany\, recently recognised as one of the top ten jewellers in th
 e UK\, and Daphne Krinos\, from Greece\, known for her bold and architect
 ural designs\, also feature. Holland's Floor Mommersteeg sparks the imag
 ination  by transforming nylon threaded into intricate\, wildly flamboyan
 t pieces\, while Spain's Chloe Herrero explores the very definition of p
 erfection.\n\nAlso exhibiting are Dovile Bertulyte from Lithuania who is
  influenced by the colours and textures of underwater landscapes\, Elisav
 et Messi from Greece\, experiments with sustainable materials\, Hendrike
  Barz Meltzer from Germany combines Japanese Kumihimo silk braids with s
 ilver and Nikolay Sardamov from Bulgaria\, renowned for using both preci
 ous metals and re-cycled materials from unusual sources. Finally\, Norway
 's Alma Sophia\, replicates three dimensional forms at the centre of her
