DESCRIPTION:Delve into the imaginative world of abstract painting with prof

 6660***\n\nSundays 11:30am - 5pm starting 24th March 2019 (£125 for 3 day
  sessions)\n\nSuitable for newcomers and for more experienced painters wan
 ting to try something new and exciting.\n\nProgram\n\nDay 1 will begin wit
 h an introduction to various materials and textures with examples of abstr
 act styles. During the second half of the day you will put the introductio
 ns into practice and use acrylic paints\, collage\, and drawing materials 
 to explore a visual world beyond the usual design principles and concerns 
 of composition. You’ll begin with an underlying structure/theme\, then m
 ove to a broader visual improvisation where you get to create-as-you-go.\n
 \nDay 2 will focus on composition. You will explore factors which all work
 ing together at once\; colour\, line\, shape\, contrast\, focal area and m
 ovement. will look at opposites\; saturated and neutral\, dark and light\,
  busy and quiet\, textured and flat. Looking into the arrangement of these
  elements and their relationship to one another you will learn how to put 
 these onto paper together producing an aesthetically pleasing arrangements
 .\n\nDay 3 will be combining days 1 and 2 plus a short experimentation wit
 h layering for depth\, self-exploring\, and finally concluding in creating
  an 'abstract self-portrait'\, with discussions and constructive feedback.
 \nTutor: Emily Bartlett\nEmily is an experienced trainer and artist\, who 
 has taught painting to children and adults in both Italy and the UK.\nDate

 uated in the centre of Liverpool\, just behind Church Street\, down Church
  Alley and in front of Liverpool ONE. You can enter the building via the f
 ront courtyard off School Lane (behind Primark)\, or through the garden at
