d music on Thursday 27 Oct. \n\nThe first of these exhibitions sees renow
ned British artist Keith Piper return to Bluecoat with his new solo show\,
Unearthing the Banker's Bones. In this exhibition Piper addresses contemp
orary anxieties about race and class through the perspective of a fictiona
l future.\n\nLending its title to the exhibition\, the centrepiece of the
show will be a new Arts Council Collection 70th Anniversary commission com

pict a narrative of economic and social collapse entitledUnearthing the Ba
nker’s Bones.\n\nBluecoat will also be exhibiting Adham Faramawy's Janus
Collapse (the juice-box edition). Faramawy uses technology to examine how
identity is constructed in the 21st century. In the making of his work Fa
ramawy draws on the language of advertising\, co-opting the special effect
s used to evoke desire for people\, things and experiences.
