 workshop you will be learning traditional ceramic hand building techniques
 . We will be using earthenware/stoneware clays all of which will be requir
 ed to be fired and will not be available to take home at the end of the wo
 rkshop. All of the work will be fired and can be painted and decorated in 
 an optional second workshop or be glazed by me using one of our existing g
 lazes. Everyone involved in the workshop will gain the knowledge of buildi
 ng ceramic forms from raw clay to finalised decorative objects. These skil
 ls can then be taken and practiced outside of the workshop space. Anyone c
 an join in in this simple and enjoyable beginner ceramics class and all wi
 ll leave with a finalised product.\n\n• Rolling and clay preparation\n

 D visualization workshop changing the perception of craft ceramics\, no mu
 gs\, vases\, and bowls. We will be focusing on using ceramics to make a ci
 ty\, buildings and skylines moving away from the soft idea of ceramics.\n\
 nAdditional Info\nCreative mappingWe are attempting to build a creative vi
 sual landscape or Birkenhead/Liverpool showcasing the beauty and creative 
 spaces that reside in this area.\n\nWe want to teach a range of basic cera
 mic skills that will build up in to the production of forms and vessels th
 at relate to these spaces. These reasons for this project it to highlight 
 the important spaces and create link between the places and the people who
  visit them.\n\nThis workshop will create a simple 3D visual Map of the ar
 ea that can kick off the creative mapping project. This can be a 2-part pr
 ocess both fabricating and decorating the work. Do you have a favourite sp
 ace\, building\, area\, art piece (public). We are going to photograph and
  create stencils of the prominent building and creative spaces within Birk
 enhead. These along with participants personal images will be the stencils
  we use to develop the shapes of the objects within the workshops.\n\nWhat
  you make at this workshop can feed into this project.
