SUMMARY:Beechams Gallery: The Beechams Gallery: Di-alogue
DESCRIPTION:Di-alogue is a show that covers the first full year of my artis
t residency at University Centre St Helens.\n\n&nbsp\;\n\n“My practice a
rticulates an interest in the transience of flesh\; how it adapts and resp
onds to lived experience\, underpinned by an investigation of what happens
when the digital encounters the analogue.\n\nThe translation of pixelated
digital images into paint\, places the digital under pressure. Painting i
ntroduces uncertainty in an autonomous and ridged system. Non-mechanical r
emediation attempts to mix and match colour\, create compositional equival
ence\, and by the nature of this process\, it inevitably fails by degree.\
n\nThis approach to image making\, therefore\, generates difference. The m
aterial manifestation of the play of differences\, emerges in the differen
tiation of copy from original.”\n\n&nbsp\;\n\nThe exhibition opening nig
ht is Thursday the 5th of October at 5:30pm – 8:00pm\n\nthe show is op
 en 5th-18th of October\n\ngallery opening hours are 10:00am – 4:00pm
