SUMMARY:ArtHouse Gallery: ArtHouse Gallery: Symphony of Nature Launch: Solo
  Show by Pam Thomas
DESCRIPTION:Symphony of Nature\n\nSolo Show by Pam Thomas\n\nArtHouse\, 65
  Eastbank Street\, Southport\, Merseyside\, PR8 1EJ\n\n4th – 22nd M
arch 2025\n\nPV: Tuesday 4th March 6-8pm\n\nFollowing on from last year
’s successful exhibition at The ArtHouse in Southport\, Liverpool born
artist\, Pam Thomas\, will once again be putting her expressive talent on
show during March with a further thought provoking collection of artwork e
ntitled ‘Symphony of Nature’.\n\n“In my previous exhibition\, ‘Ou
r Fragile World\,’ I aimed to highlight the delicate balance of our ecos
ystems and the urgent need to acknowledge and protect the wildlife that su
rrounds us. It was a reflection on loss - loss of habitats\, species and t
he intricate connections that sustain life on our planet. With ‘Symphony
of Nature’ I am building upon this foundation by celebrating the exciti
ng beauty of nature while at the same time encouraging its preservation.
”\n\nThis diverse new showcase of artwork unmistakably validates Pam’s
dedication to using her own creativity “as a means of encouraging a po
sitive change in the world”.\n\nPam’s artistic journey began at an ear
ly age with a fascination for drawing and painting people that inevitably
led to enrolling onto a Foundation Course at Mid-Cheshire College where sh
e first developed her love for ceramics. The experience changed her creati
ve outlook and in 2000 Pam went on to graduate with a B.Des (Hons) in cera
mics and textiles from Liverpool Hope University.\n\nAlthough her preferre
d medium remains ceramics\, Pam also enjoys working with paint and stitch
to further develop her initial concepts and ideas.\n\n“Through my work\,
I invite the viewers to immerse themselves in the rhythms of nature\, fos
tering a sense of wonder and a call to action. As I weave these elements t
ogether - music\, wildlife and the threads of our shared environment - I h
ope to inspire a deeper connection to our world and an awareness of our ro
le in its conservation.”\n\nEscalating concerns for the degenerating sta
te of the environment have inevitably shaped her recent work. Witnessing t
he loss of butterflies in her garden and the pollution plaguing the world
has dramatically impacted on her creative direction. Through her art\, Pam
aims to shed light on these issues\, provoking thought and inspiring acti
on towards a more sustainable future.\n\n“This new body of work captures
the harmony and interdependence found within the natural world. The clay
musicians symbolize the joy and artistry inherent in life\, mirroring the
melodies of ecosystems they inhabit. Each piece reflects not only a celebr
ation of nature’s splendour but an acknowledgment of its fragility.”\n
\n‘Symphony of Nature’ positively reinforces Pam’s creative mission
through her artistic observations: “I am hoping the work will get peop
le thinking about how we are damaging the world and what we are leaving fo
r the next generation to sort out”.\n\nCertainly not one to be missed\,
this latest display by Pam will be on show at the ArtHouse\, Eastbank Str
eet\, Southport from 4th – 22nd March 2025.  The gallery is open Tue
 sday – Friday 10.00-15.00.  Saturday 11.00-16.00. \n\nThere will be t
hree opportunities to ‘Meet the Artist’ in the gallery\, 1-3pm on Fr
iday 7th March\, Tuesday 11th March and Thursday 20th March.
