 er at 50
DESCRIPTION:Rita Riot / Rita Requiem\n\nInspired by Lovely Rita\nwith Meow
 Meow and her Sleepless Beauties\n—\n10 June — 11 June\nInstallation /
 Music / Performance / Procession\nMetropolitan Cathedral\, Anglican Cathed
 ral\, The Oratory\nMeow Meow\, Jherek Bischoff\, Jethro Woodward\, Andrea
Lauer\n\n\n\nWe may not always love them when we’re on the receiving end
of a parking ticket.\n\nBut Paul McCartney turned an encounter with a ‘
meter maid’ close to London’s Abbey Road Studios into an exuberant and
jaunty love letter\, which now forms the basis of this ambitious street p
erformance project from international performer Meow Meow.\n\nKnown for pu
shing boundaries\, Meow Meow will work with her Sleepless Beauties – acc
laimed musician\, composer and producer Jherek Bischoff\, sound designer J
ethro Woodward\, and award-winning costume designer Andrea Lauer\, to prod
uce a unique procession down iconic Hope Street of brass bands and parking
attendants.\n\nA thought-provoking installation in The Oratory will culmi
nate in Rita’s ‘awakening’ and her requiem in St James Gardens at du
sk.\n\nThis will undoubtedly be a first for Hope Street\, the city\, for t
raffic wardens and the world!\n\nFor more info: https://www.sgtpepperat50
