Community art project ‘…and the River flows on’ pop-up art workshop in Woodlands playground, Birkenhead. Artist Robyn Woolston embarking on the great mural.

In the little peaceful green playground in the heart of Birkenhead. Kids were absorbed in painting ships and cranes that tell the tales of docks in Birkenhead. A mural has just started led by an artist Robyn Woolston (Liverpool Art Prize winner 2012). Some of the works will be displayed in autumn.

‘…and the River flows on’ is a community art project based in Birkenhead during 2015 & 2016.  Exploring the history, communities, industry and environment of the River Mersey the project also focuses on the future regeneration of the area.
