Commercial Trustee, North West
Tate’s Board of fourteen Trustees governs Tate’s four galleries, its programmes and the Tate Collection. We are now inviting applications for two vacancies on our Board of Trustees.
We are seeking an individual with a prominent and respected reputation in a customer-facing industry (property or similar). The candidate should be keenly aware of current issues and topics in the public realm and should be willing to advocate on Tate’s behalf. The successful candidate will be a distinguished member of the commercial community of the North West and will have demonstrated a successful record of business achievement. It is also expected that they will chair Tate Liverpool Advisory Council.
Applicants for the role will need to demonstrate a clear interest in the visual arts and a commitment to Tate’s values and to public service.
Board members are expected to dedicate at least two days per month (on a voluntary basis) providing fresh, independent thinking and strategic expertise and advice.
The appointment will be made by the Prime Minister, in consultation with the Department for Culture, Media and Sport.
