Saturday 20 February 2016 - Sunday 22 May 2016. A Hayward Touring and Arts Council Collection exhibition, curated by Jennifer Higgie. A new Arts Council Collection exhibition of paintings of the figure is being exhibited at The Atkinson, Southport in February, curated by Jennifer Higgie, co-editor of frieze magazine.

Saturday 6 February 2016 - Sunday 15 May 2016. A new exhibition from Birkdale resident Derek Culley who has had his work exhibited internationally as well as the UK. His style includes strong chiaroscuro, heavy impasto, vigorous brushwork and direct, expressive handling, in which Celtic imagery and associations are important.

Saturday 9 January 2016 - Sunday 14 February 2016. Features the incredible work of three artists – Akiko Hatsu, Keiko Takemiya and Yukiko Kai but also includes the work of 17 other artists who have all helped shape the world of Shojo Manga.

Saturday 28 November – Saturday 19 December 2015. The exhibition will be display in The Atkinson galleries and is made up from work of local artists who live or work or study in Sefton.
