Filmmaker Talent Development Programme, FACT

This November, FACT is pleased to launch the Filmmaker Talent Development Programme – an exciting new opportunity for professional filmmakers in the Northwest and North Wales to develop their skills. Delivered by FACT with the support of Creative England’s Strategic Partnerships Fund (Talent Centres), Wales Screen, Liverpool John Moores University and Edge Hill University, and in collaboration with partners from industry, creative and cultural sectors, this free six-month programme of workshops aims to support film talent, creativity and diversity in the region.
An Advisory Board of key thinkers and producers have carefully crafted the workshop programme, designed to enable new talent to accelerate their careers and optimise the opportunities available to them. Offering critical advice and alternative ways of thinking, the programme will discuss a wide range of topics, including funding, collaboration, development, production and distribution, in an exciting, constructive and proactive environment. Each workshop session will focus on a specific theme through talks, panel discussions, networking opportunities, screenings and showcases, allowing participants to construct and develop new ideas, or rethink existing ones, and share them with experts and talent across the sessions.

As places are limited, interested filmmakers are advised to apply as soon as possible. Please find more details about the programme and the application form via this link:

Deadline for applications is 4 November 2016.
