ESPY PHOTOAWARD 2017
This is a new and comprehensive competition open to professional, amateur and student photographers. ESPY encourages traditional and experimental approaches to the photographic medium.
Category 1 – The elysiumgallery Exhibition prize
This category requires entrants to submit a series of 5 images from a larger project dealing with any subject, started in the last 2 years. Three photographers will be selected to exhibit at elysiumgallery, Swansea, with the final winner being selected from this exhibition. There will also be an exhibition of 40 more photographers at the Grand Theatre Gallery, in Swansea City centre.
Overall there is £1000 in prize money, plus a solo show the following year.
People’s prize £250 selected from all 43 exhibited works.
Category 2 – Swansea College of Art Book Prize
This Photobook Prize is to showcase books that photographers have self-published in the last two years. The award encourages experimentation with the photobook form.
An exhibition of 25-30 books will be held at the Swansea College of Art.
