Chester Heritage Open Days:
Artist Commission Chester Rows – Appropriating Space
We are interested in working with artists working with sound, video, new technology, performance and other media to temporarily occupy the underused public spaces along the Rows and make them accessible, in a new form, to the wider public during the Heritage Open Days in September: Thursday 7th – Sunday 10th September 2017.
These commissions will form part of a framework of visual arts commissions across the city that supports a distinctive, surprising and articulate response to the ‘place’. We can facilitate access to museum and archaeology collections and to archives; we would welcome the opportunity for an artist to collaborate with archives, museums curators, learning officers and/or archaeologists.
Payments:
1 commission with a budget £4000
1 commission with a budget £3000
