VISUAL ART OPEN PRIZE
Welcome to the Visual Art Open Competition, aimed at providing a platform for UK & International Artists to develop their passion and career in the arts sector.
The competition is a celebration of both UK & International, professional and amateur artists working in one of more of the following medias: drawing, printing, painting, photography, digital art and sculpture.
The Competition
Artwork judged by panel of jurors appointed by VAO, all of which are artists, writers, art critics, collectors and curators from the international contemporary art world
Five Categories:-
- Painting / Mixed Media
- Illustration / Drawing
- Sculpture
- Photography
- Emerging Artist / Young Artist (Under 24)
Prizes:
Overall Winner
- Cash prize of £1,000.00 to support the production of new works
- Commercial mentoring package
- Exclusive solo show decided in consultation with the winner
- Exhibition at Chester Arts Fair 2017 worth £1,000.
Individual Categories
- A cash prize of £250.00 will be awarded to the winner of each category
- Cost – £15.00 per submission. £10.00 for entrants under 25 years old
- No age restrictions – all welcome to apply
