Call for young creatives aged 16-25, Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP)

Deadlines: varies.

Young Everyman Playhouse (YEP) is much more than a youth theatre: it mirrors all aspects of our work, embodies our ethos, and puts young people at the heart of everything we do.

Since it was formed in 2012, YEP has established itself as one of the leading youth arts programmes in the country and earlier this year won School of the Year 2015 at The Stage Theatre Awards. It has created professional opportunities for young people whose life chances were limited by circumstance, whose talent lay undiscovered, and who were struggling to find a sense of direction. It has created joyous theatrical experiences for young people and for wider audiences who are captivated by the passion, skill and ideas of these young theatre-makers. Already YEP members are applying to drama schools, bidding for funding for their own projects, pressing for work experience among our team, and joining with other groups locally and nationally to programme and create work.

If you’re aged 11 to 25 then you can get involved. You don’t need experience or to have been to the theatre before, but if you want to give something a try, then YEP is for you.

YEP membership is free and offers:
– £5 tickets to see shows
– The opportunity to join one of our six YEP strands:
Communicators, Directors, Producers (Deadline: Wed 23 Sep 2015, 9am)
Technicians (Deadline: Wed 16 September 9am)
Actors, Writers (applications closed)
– The chance to help shape the future of the theatres
– Guidance on careers in theatre
– A chance to meet new people and try new things

To join fill in the YEP membership form and take it to the Box Office at either the Everyman (Hope Street) or Playhouse (Williamson Square). Don’t forget to bring some ID with you too.
