Call Out for work-in-progress performances, Scratch Mornings at Everyman Theatre

New Year. New Work. Scratch Mornings at Everyman Theatre

Starting this February, e&p’s New Works department will present a quarterly Scratch Morning – offering artists the opportunity to scratch new performance ideas in the early stages of development. The inaugural Scratch Morning will take place on Saturday 4th February at 11am in Ev1 at the Everyman Theatre.

We are seeking applications from an eclectic mix of theatre-makers from across the North West who wish to present a short section of new work before an audience who will get a chance to offer their thoughts on how these exciting new ideas might develop.

The Scratch will present four extracts of new work for the stage, no longer than 20 minutes. Extracts can explore any topic and take any form but must be in the early stages of development. We ask that performances are not dependent on technical support.

You must:

–              Be based in the North West region

–              Be making new, original work for the stage

–              Have a 20 minute extract to scratch

–              Available on Saturday 4th February 2017 to attend the event

How to apply:

To apply, please email: telling us about your work to date (no more than 400 words), a brief outline of the work you wish to present during the Scratch Morning including what it is, what you wish to achieve by scratching this extract of performance and how the scratch will help you develop the piece (no more than 500 words). In addition, please send any supporting material including videos, photography and/or links to websites – please note, we can not accept attachments.

The deadline for applications is midday on Monday 16th January 2017. For more information, visit:
