ARTIST IN RESIDENCE PROGRAM IN LINZ
The CreArt project has just published a call for the next Artist in Residence program at the Atelierhaus Salzamt Center, in the Austrian city of Linz in February 2020. This call is addressed to artists born or resident in the following CreArt cities: Valladolid – ES; Clermont – Ferrand FR; Lublin -PL; Skopje – MK, Liverpool – UK, Rouen – FR; Kaunas – LT; and partners of HDLU / Zagreb – HR.
The 2 artists selected by the organization will have the opportunity to work on their artistic projects for a month. CreArt will cover the artists travel expenses from their city to CreArt to Linz. The studio and accommodation are free. In addition, artists will receive € 1,000 to cover living and production expenses.
The Atelierhaus Salzamt center is located on the banks of the Danube and was renovated by the City of Linz in 2009, the year in which the city became the European Capital of Culture. This center has five studios for international artists, four for local and regional artists, accommodation for foreign artists, and exhibition spaces. Forty artists from the CreArt network have already passed through this center.
WHAT DO INTERESTED ARTISTS HAVE TO DO?
Interested artists must open an account or register if they have already done so on the CreArt website and upload the following documentation (in a single PDF) on this link: https://creart2-eu.org/open-calls/
• National identity document or passport (scanned copy)
• Brief CV
• Documentary material of recent production (no more than 5 images).
• A brief project proposal (no more than one A4 sheet).
The deadline for applications will be open until December 9, and CreArt will notify the selected artists to all applicants after December 17.
