Call for submissions, Grrrl Power Liverpool

Deadlines: 9 July for artwork, 16 July for flash fiction.

Grrrl Power Liverpool is an open call for self-identified women painters, photographers, performers, sculptors, musical composers, writers, videographers, embroiders, sketchers, knitters etc. who want to make work in response to the following enquiry:

Women: where do you find yourself in the arts?

We ask that your work reflects this question, and what this means to you as a woman artist.

We’re hosting an exhibition at Constellations, Liverpool on Friday 5th August and women can submit their work by a submission form. There are two forms – one for general artwork ideas (deadline 9th July) and the other for 101 words of flash fiction (deadline 16th July), both forms list more details regarding submission deadlines and successful works will be selected by a panel. Please contact us by email to receive a submission form (grrrlpowerliverpool@gmail.com).

On Sunday 7th August, we’ll also be hosting a series of workshops at Constellations to continue the discussion: ‘Women – where do you find yourself in the arts?’ More details to be released in the upcoming weeks.
