Deadline: Wednesday 27 January 2016 at midnight.
Breeze Arts Festival is a multi-arts festival which will take place from Sat 23rd – Sat 30th July 2016, and is organised by young people, for young people aged 11-19. Events take place all across Leeds during the festival.
The aim of the Breeze Arts Festival is to help young people attend, participate in and contribute to creative activity in Leeds and beyond, through encouraging and celebrating achievement.
We have received Arts Council England funding to run two targeted projects for young people aged 11-19 in the lead up to and during the festival. The targeted groups are:
Young people with additional needs
Young people who are NEET (not in education, employment or training)
On your application please state which of the above groups your project is aimed at.
We are looking for projects that fit with the festival’s objectives; that will give young people opportunities to learn new skills and give them a platform to showcase these skills to a wider audience.
Projects can start between Feb-July 2016 but there must be a clear final performance / exhibition / talk / screening / workshop during the festival itself.
The budget available for the project working with young people who are NEET is up to £2,500.
The budget for the project working with young people with additional needs is up to £3,250.
There is also an additional budget of approx. £150 per project to help the young project participants to attend other events in the festival, so please state how you would use this budget.
