Painting, Photography

Adele McMahon (b.1976) is a self taught painter based on the Wirral, near Liverpool. Although predominantly a painter, Adele also produces work through the medium of photography, filmmaking, textiles and printmaking.
“I became interested in the artistic possibilities of oil paint after spending a number of years working as a cinema projectionist and finding myself heavily influenced by the narrative content of the broken frames cut from the reels of film.
I now use my background in photography to help me construct my own narratives and am particularly drawn to creating paintings that leave the viewer asking questions about what has happened or is about to happen.”
Adele has exhibited in a number of group and solo shows throughout the past two years and has works in both private and public collections. Gicleé Limited Edition prints of her work are now available to buy and commissions are welcome from both private and business clients.
