Taylor Earnshaw

Pastels, painting, sculpture

Taylor Earnshaw FRSA, painter and sculptor, trained initially in Yorkshire before progressing to Liverpool College of Art in the 50’s. He studied under Martin Bell, Arthur Ballard and the eminent Hungarian painter and mosaicist George Mayer Marton.

He has travelled extensively in Europe and in particular Tuscany where an interest in sculpture developed in the marble yards and quarries of Carrara.

He has shown a life-long appreciation of J M W Turner and been influenced also by the works of the Impressionists, French and others. It is this understanding of light, colour and atmosphere as absolute essentials that is captured so eloquently in the works of Taylor Earnshaw
