‘Variations’ Exhibition ends Friday July 6

rob-davies-drawings.jpg‘Variations’ is an exhibition of works by Rob Davies and Paul Romano in their shared studio on 3rd floor of the Jerome Bldgs in 61 Victoria St.

It finished tomorrow (Friday July 6 2007). I’m glad I managed to see it during its short run, Rob’s drawings in particular are really good. Some are of local scenes and characters, others are pure flights of fancy often drawn in boxes as if they are to appear in a comic or graphic novel. I’d really like to see a published collection of some of his work someday. I remember he had a few very small books or comics in Polished T a while ago.
Also on show are some of his paintings, landscapes and figurative works.

Paul Romano’s works are all abstract oils.
