magazine_front.jpgAesthetica Magazine covers contemporary writing, art, music and film and is always a good read. Its grown quite a lot since the first ones I read some time ago. Now its up to issue 18 for August 2007 has just moved from quarterly to bi-monthly and is stocked by the main newsagents.

You can subscribe online (for hardcopy or digital) via the website where you can also read several past articles.

Aesthetica Magazine was first published in March 2003 in order to promote creativity, equality and diversity within the cultural arts, but its focus – and intended audience – has since become much wider.

Its reasonably priced at £4.50. The current issue includes David Mitchell, Linton Kwesi Johnson, Sandra Newman, Helen Oyeyemi, Keiko Mukaide, John Squire, Rankin, John Jones, Romuald Hazoume, Chila Kumari Burman, Maximo Park, Built to Spill, Herman Dune, Tom McRae, Ash, Jesse Malin, Film4, Eddy Joseph, Ken Loach and deciBel. Plus arts news and reviews of some of the newest and best books, music, and films.

The editor, Cherie Federico, won the Young Entrepreneur of the Year award 2006.
Aesthetica also run other projects under the Aesthetica Arts banner.
